Weather watch: Trough of low pressure slow moving to the southwest

A TROUGH of low pressure remains slow moving just to the southwest of Fiji.

The weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this morning says a moist easterly wind flow prevails over the group.

The forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group expect occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms over Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti group, Yasawa group, the eastern parts and interior of the other larger islands.

Isolated heavy falls expected.

Elsewhere, cloudy periods with some showers and afternoon or evening thunderstorms.

For mariners expect moderate east to northeast winds with moderate seas.

Outlook for Tuesday, occasional showers, heavy at times and isolated thunderstorms over Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti group, Yasawa Group, the eastern parts and interior of the other larger islands.

Elsewhere, cloudy periods with some showers and afternoon or evening showers and possible thunderstorms.
